Paul McCartney more political than John Lennon? Nah..,
Paul McCartney more political than John Lennon? Nah,..
LONDON: Paul McCartney claims that he was the real politicized figure in The Beatles, not John Lennon, according to an interview published Sunday.
McCartney was quoted as saying it was he who first raised concerns over the Vietnam war within the group and advocated their anti-war stance.
Fans have long regarded Lennon, who wrote songs such as "Revolution" and — in later years — "Give Peace a Chance," as the group's authentic political voice

Paul I don't believe it for a minute. John was the political one-smiles. The only political things I have heard you say is "support Kerry" at the Bridge School and you were crossing your fingers that Barrack Obama would win the election..Oh, and you'd like to sing Michelle to Michelle Obama..if I'm wrong please, do tell.

Joni Mitchell joinin Starbucks

Singing legend JONI MITCHELL
is set to follow in the footsteps of SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY by signing an album distribution deal with coffee giant Starbucks. The Big Yellow Taxi star is the latest signing to the chain's Hear Music label, and will release her first new work in almost ten years in Starbucks stores. MCCartney sparked controversy last month (Jun07) for choosing to distribute Memory Almost Full through Starbucks - but almost 45 per cent of the disc's 447,000 sales originated from the chain's stores. Shine will be released on the Hear Music label on 25 September (07).
