Saw her Standing there is off the hook. The sound quality is superb. It does help, that I have a stereo speaker hooked to my computer. Talked to some people that have the Beatles Rock band and they LOVE it! Anyone have it reading this?

Of course, Harleyblues, hasn't had the time to play it yet. Can't afford it either with the purchase of the Mono set & all these Macca concerts that I have been attending. See other blog Sir Paul McCartney & The Beatles guest band Purplemelon.

What the Hell is wrong with PETA?!!

What the Hell is wrong with PETA?!!

I just read via The Mail online that Peta, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is slaughtering animals, WTF?! Paul McCartney, as you know, is a staunch supporter of PETA.
Isn't there anyway to socialize these poor abandoned animals, without killing them? This story pissess me off.

"A PETA spokesman said the charity took in more than 10,000 dogs and cats in 2008 and.

most of those that were put down could hardly be called pets. 'They were unsocialised, never having been inside a building of any kind or known a pat on the head'.

PETA, better come out with some type of explanation. I cannot comment any further...

did Paul really say this about the global economy?

did Paul really say this about the global economy?

I just read this online via The Times.co.uk Macca is quoted from Stool Pigeon mag excerpt below.
Having a billion in the bank is no protection from the credit crunch.

Even Sir Paul McCartney checked with his accountant. He told The Stool Pigeon music paper: “I actually did phone my guy up and say,

‘How exposed are we?’. He said, ‘You’re as exposed as everyone. If the banks all go broke . . .’. But, as far as the way we do business, there’s not a huge speculative exposure.”

The ex-Beatle, now recording in experimental mode as The Fireman, blamed the global economic meltdown on the “irresponsibility” of yuppie debt culture.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Irresponsibility' of yuppie debt?

actually Paul, this war in Iraq and Greed, created this economic meltdown in the states!

Look at the oil companies

housining costs

finacial institutions

there is a large gap between the haves and have nots!!!

Now Paul wants to perform in China? hell no!!

Now Paul wants to perform in China? hell no!!
Telegraph.co.uk

Sir Paul McCartney wants to perform a gig in China, three years after announcing he would boycott the country over its animal rights record.

The former Beatle said it is the one country he dreams of performing in.He recently performed his first concert in Israel, 43 years after the Beatles were banned over fears they would corrupt the nation's youth.

Asked during a radio interview where he would like to play next, Sir Paul replied: "I've never played in China, I'm kind of interested to see what that's like. There's lots of places I've never played, but I think China would be the answer."

In 2005, the singer announced he would never perform there after watching undercover footage of dogs and cats being killed for their fur.

Sir Paul, a staunch vegetarian, said at the time that the practice was "like something out of the dark ages". After viewing the BBC film with his then wife, anti-fur campaigner Heather Mills, he said: "I wouldn't even dream of going over there to play, in the same way I wouldn't go to a country that supported apartheid. This is just disgusting. It's just against the very rule of humanity. I couldn't go there. If they want to consider themselves a civilised nation, they're going to have to stop this."

hb: take:

Paul what the hell?

Paul do not go against your word!!! think of all the animal's rights violations!

the recent Melamine in milk,. poisoning baby's!

the lead in children's toys!

human rights violations!

this upsets me,. but Macca will do what he will do,. aren't these enuff reasons for you not to perform there Paul?

Paul tells Chef to stick his meal! lol

Paul tells Chef to stick his meal! lol

Staunch vegetarian Sir Paul McCartney reportedly told a chef to "stick" his meal after he was served meat.
The musical legend was dining at New York restaurant Nick and Toni's with his girlfriend Nancy Shevell recently when the chef ordered a waiter to carry a meat-based amuse bouche to "his vegetarian guests".
According to the New York Post newspaper Paul, who is a regular at the restaurant, reportedly told the waiter: "You can tell the chef to stick it? but don't tell him I said that."

It was recently revealed the 66-year-old musician - who refuses to buy leather shoes and even asked for the leather interior in his Lexus car to be swapped for cloth - stayed in a leather-clad ranch room while on a US road trip with Nancy.
A source said: "He booked the room himself, but wouldn't have realised that it had so much leather in its interior.
"He would have been a bit annoyed, but the whole point of the trip is to travel anonymously so he wouldn't have caused a fuss.
"He can't change how other people decorate a room."

this lil ditty not to be confused with Macca stating recently that Chef Ramsey is stupid for hating meat eaters! Sir Paul McCartney slams chef veggie comments:

Sir Paul McCartney has criticised Gordon Ramsay - calling the TV chef 'stupid'.Ramsay, 41, has angered the ex-Beatle, 66, with his outspoken comments against vegetarians. The foul-mouthed chef has annoyed the music legend by saying he could not tolerate it if one of his three daughters came home with a vegetarian boyfriend
."Ironically Gordon Ramsay shares Sir Paul McCartney's dim view of the chef. Ramsay says "you'd have to be F****** stupid to go out with a chef" - there's 2 things Ramsay's daughters are forbidden to do - go vegetarian and date a chef!

awwe c'mon Paul don't take it personal..geeez!

More awards for Paul at the Q

Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue and Arctic Monkeys were the big winners at this year's Q Awards today (08.10.07).

The Beatles legend received The Q Icon award, Kylie took The Q Idol accolade and Arctic Monkeys claimed the prestigious Best Act In The World Today prize at the glitzy ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
Paul notably failed to mention his estranged wife Heather Mills in his lengthy acceptance speech, in which he thanked his former Beatles bandmates, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, and his late wife Linda McCartney.

He said: "I've been coming to these things for a long time and you sit there petrified, not knowing what to say, should you tell a couple of dirty jokes?
"I would like to thank George, John and Ringo, the boys. I would like to thank Linda for seeing me though some real tough periods, and my beautiful family, my kids, who are fantastic."

The 65-year-old singer was presented the award by a visibly drunk Damon Albarn, who earlier bemused the star-studded audience with a rambling speech when he collected The Q Inspiration Award.
